I used to be a lot like Dr. Mercola. [who is a world-famous nutritional-healing advocate and who also owns a huge online vitamin & natural-remedy store].

Dr. Mercola is an avid natural-healing advocate, and I am too.

Ever since my first child was born in 1974, I have been enthusiastically seeking out answers to “how to stay healthy, keep my children healthy, and never get sick”. In my first 20 years of being a mother I read every book I could, related to nutrition and natural healing. I visited health food stores regularly. I bought various nutritional products, herbs, etc. both for preventative measures and remedies.  And whenever I got sick [or one of my children] I got a remedy or two out to fix it. Even so, we did [all of us] end up at the doctor each 2 or more times a year for various things [ear aches, infections, sore throats, etc.] . When my first two children went through puberty, they got the usual acne. I think we were pretty typical of a normal, mostly-healthy, family.

I didn’t have a PHD, MD or ND behind my name, but I had a masters in education, 20 years of parental experience, and I was a self-taught expert in natural remedies by the time my first child was 20.

The reason I was like Dr. Mercola is that he is always reading and learning about the latest natural-healing remedies out there. But why did using a water ionizer cause me to change?

It’s interesting to me how much my point of view has changed since the time my first two children were young.

What happened to change my point of view?… a water ionizer.

Around the time my 3^rd child was 9, my 4^th child was 6 and my 5^th child was 3, I was introduced to the concept of ionized water and the pH of our bodies . This was a pivotal point in my life as an expert in Nutrition and a mother. I bought my first water ionizer in 1996 and that single action [although the water ionizer was an older, weaker model than most any water ionizer you can buy today] changed our lives.

What did a water ionizer do that all of the other books and remedies in the entire health-food store not do?

A water ionizer helped my family and I to change the water in our bodies, so as to provide our cells with more suitable water for detoxifying and maintaining the perfect pH balance that our bodies and cells need to be truly healthy.

All the rest of the “preventions” and “cures” became obsolete and un-needed after just months of drinking alkaline ionized water.

I didn’t just buy a water ionizer, by the way. I learned all about body pH, water, water pH, and water ionization uses AND I applied what I learned by actually drinking the ionized water [and having my children drink it.]

I also observed. I saw that ionized water was making a difference in our family’s health. So, I did more. If I saw any hint of illness [a sniffle] I would have whoever it was drink more ionized water as the antidote for whatever germs may be trying to invade. Whether it was my own self or one of my children …or even my husband, I would utter my famous words “here, drink more water”. It was almost a family joke that I was so insistent on all of us drinking the ionized water so much.

What happened was miraculous though. All of the runny noses, ear aches, head aches, sore throats, acid reflux, and other little defects in our health started to disappear. Even allergies that I was sure were genetic and unavoidable disappeared. As each of my three younger children reached puberty they were virtually free of the acne problems experienced by my older two children.

Before water ionizers I was a self-taught nutritional expert trying to stay abreast of all the latest nutritional answers, preventions and cures, but now I have found a single, simple answer that has changed everything and put all the rest of the “answers” into perspective.

Unless your body has an excellent and continual supply of just exactly the right water to support what your body needs, all the other remedies in the entire world will still not be good enough. Water is KEY to your body’s good and stable health. Ionized water is PERFECT for your body. Drinking ionized water helps your body to be perfect.

With all my other knowledge about vitamins and nutrition in general, I would be remiss to not mention that of course you need to eat well [well-balanced and properly-combined meals] and DO take your vitamins. However, with ionized water I predict you will find that the answer to most ailments is “drink more water”.

Getting Sick is NOT Normal!

More About Me: After being a teacher/principal for almost 25 years, I decided to follow a passion of mine [telling people about water ionizers]. In these past few years of selling water ionizers I’ve done extensive research into how water ionizers work and how to properly test and compare them in an effort to provide accurate and reliable information to my customers. I’ve discovered significant differences among water ionizer quality, and how those differences translate into what one can expect [health-wize] from differing types and models of water ionizers.

My Story in a Nutshell

Sixteen years ago, I, like most people, ate a diet high in fats, meats, dairy, processed & refined food, overcooked food, fast food and soft drinks. I considered myself healthy, based on the fact that I rarely missed a day of work. However I had colds, allergies, and periodic ear or throat infections on a regular basis. I tried to eat fairly healthily [i.e., not too much junk food], especially if I felt an illness coming on and I took vitamins. I considered myself normal, but now I know I know better. I had all the signs of an acidic body, and I was headed for disaster!

What is an Acidic Body?

The fact of acidic wastes getting stuck in our cells is called an acidic body. Most people have one.

Background: PH ranges on a scale of 0-14, with 7 pH being neutral. Blood must maintain a narrow balance of 7.365 pH [which is slightly alkaline] at all times…for survival. The alternative is death. Because of this, the blood will not accept acids from the cells if taking on more acids would jeopardize this life-or-death delicate pH balance. Therefore acids become trapped in fat, cells, organs and joints to protect us from too many acids getting into our blood and killing us. These acids impede the cell functions.

If we can’t clean out the acids from our cells we get sick!

So, what disaster was I headed for back in 1993? Probably cancer, heart disease, or both!

Nobel Prize winner, Dr. Warburg, investigated the metabolism of tumors and the respiration of cells with emphasis on cancer cells. He discovered that cancer is like a fungus, it needs acidity to grow and multiply well, and alkalinity slows it down or stops it. “Cancerous tissues are acidic, whereas healthy tissues are alkaline. Water splits into H+ and OH- ions, if there is an excess of H+, it is acidic; if there is an excess of OH- ions, then it is alkaline.”

Nobel Prize winner, 1998, Louis J. lgnarro found a direct correlation between heart disease and free radical damage inside the blood vessel walls.

The Rest of my Story…What Changed?

Back in 1996 through a series of chance happenings [along with my own curiosity – seeking answers] I stumbled upon a new device, called a water ionizer. A water ionizer is a device which transforms ordinary tap water into two streams of water [acid and alkaline]. For drinking, the alkaline stream of water has been found to be very beneficial to one’s health. It not only helps to alkalize the body [providing a constant supply of pH buffers – so that the cells can give off their wastes], but it also provides the body with a huge amount of natural antioxidants to fight free radicals. After several months of drinking alkaline ionized water my body started to transform. The allergies, post-nasal-drip, congestion, colds, infections….all subsided to a point where I was aware that they were gone after about a year of drinking ionized water. Not only that, but my children and husband, as well, all lost the signs and symptoms of an acidic body to the point where we, as a family, almost never went to the doctor after that.  We went from at least 2 visits each to the doctor [for various ailments] per year to NONE [other than well-person check-ups].

What Does Ionized Water do in the Body?

Ionized water bathes our cells in slightly alkaline pH water which not only helps to hydrated them, but even as importantly it helps to draw the acid wastes out of the cells. In addition, water ionizers are to varying degrees capable of adding natural, simple, yet powerful antioxidants into the water. The significance of this is tremendous! Now that we know heart disease [the number-1 killer in the world] is related to free-radical damage inside the blood-vessel walls, the fact of having readily-available free-radical scavengers [i.e., antioxidants] in every sip of water we drink is significant.

Your Cells are Sensitive to the Water you Drink.

I was completely unaware , years ago, of the necessity of cells to have the right water. Now, after all of these years drinking ionized water, I have total certainty about the cell’s reaction to the wrong water and the RIGHT water. It is amazing, but to me, only common sense, the number of ailments that this one, single machine can help prevent or reverse!

Here are a few Q & A’s about water ionizers that may help you choose the right model for you.

• Water ionizers are expensive. Is there any value to getting a dirt-cheap model? No. The fact is water ionizers must have platinum coated titanium electrode plates [which is expensive – platinum is selling for over $1700.00/oz. right now]. There is no proper way of getting around this, and without platinum [no alloys should ever be used] the ionizer is not worth much.
• Do you have to spend over $4000. for a water ionizer that will “do it all”? No. Actually, I’ve discovered a few models close to half that price that do better than the $4000. model.
• What is the difference between water ionizers? There are lots of differences that you can explore on my Water Ionizer Comparison Page, but I have found that the biggest difference I personally experienced is in the ORP [antioxidant] per unit of pH of that water ionizer. Lower quality water ionizers have less antioxidants and higher quality water ionizers get a greater level of antioxidants.
  • Low ORP Water Ionizers: When I used an average quality water ionizer [for about 15 years] I got rid of ALMOST all signs of acidity. If ever I had a symptom appear I would just drink more water and it would readily go away.
  • Mid-Level Water Ionizers: When I upgraded to a mid-level water ionizer I had fewer symptoms ever even occur [but otherwise the same as above].
  • Superior Water Ionizers: When I upgraded to what I consider a “best quality water ionizer” I stopped having any symptoms occur whatsoever. In addition, some spider veins that had developed slowly over the years [since I turned about 50] disappeared before my very eyes after starting to drink the ionized water from my newest water ionizer, the Jupiter Athena water ionizer.

After over 16 years of drinking alkaline ionized water, I can say with conviction that the very best thing I could give to myself or a loved one is a WATER IONIZER!  Give yourself and your family the gift of health this year!

What a pleasant surprise it was to wake up to all these great quotes from his friends. That got me to thinking…I’ve had some recent water ionizer related experiences that reminded me of how grateful I am for my water ionizer!
