Tyent and Life water ionizer companies have now come out with 9-plate water ionizers. Is a 9-plate water ionizer better than a 7-plate water ionizer? It has been a long, long time since I’ve completely trusted what water ionizer companies say about themselves. Even when I think their water ionizers are great, I have found that all too many times the “facts” I am given by the companies, themselves, are exagerated. I do my own testing, because only then can I see for myself what really is the truth about any particular water ionizer. I did a series of tests on both the 7070 Tyent Turbo and the 9090 Tyent Turbo Extreme, to determine if the 9090 Turbo Extreme was actually better than the 7070 Turbo. My prediction was that there would be noticable differences and that those differences would be in the area of the ability of the 9-plate water ionizer to get a faster flow rate. However, what I found was…

There is negligible, if any difference between the performance of the two water ionizers.

Here are the videos… [Note: I was unable to test the 7070 Tyent Turbo directly against the 9090 Tyent Turbo Extreme, because I only had one set of filters. So, I tested each against the Athena...to improve the accuracy and reliability of the testing.

 In some further testing [I'll have to find the video], I found the following: The Athena water ionizer’s performance fell off at the “Fast” flow rate [when it reached over a 2 liters per min.] The Tyent 9090 fell off too, but not as much. So, I suppose that if you were looking for a faster flowing water ionizer, it would be better to have the Tyent 9090. Here are the results:

So, what can be learned?

When it comes to water ionizers… Bigger is not necessarily better & more is not necessarily better either.

However, it is clear that all three of the water ionizers tested were of exceptional ability to ionize!

After over 16 years of drinking alkaline ionized water, I can say with conviction that the very best present I could give to myself or a loved one is a WATER IONIZER!  Give yourself the gift of health this year! And…

About a month ago I did a series of water ionizer comparison testing, between the Jupiter Athena water ionizer, Jupiter Melody water ionizer, Tyent Turbo water ionizer, Enagic Kangen Water [SD 501] and the Chanson Miracle water ionizer. I’m summarizing those results and also expanding my comparisons of these water ionizers, so you can see and compare every aspect of these water ionizers all in one spot.

One of the number one things I hear from customers is how confused they are when it comes to figuring out which water ionizer to buy.

This article will hopefully shed some light of truth on the subject of water ionizer comparisons. While it is just one more series of water ionizer comparison testing, it is pretty comprehensive in that every level of each water ionizer was tested…not just the strongest level.

I have constructed a master chart to help demonstrate the ORP results for each water ionizer in ordered pH intervals. I was hoping that looking at it this way, a pattern might emerge.

Why is ORP so important?

ORP is the antioxidant value of the ionized water. This is where your ionized water provides you with large quantities of free-radical scavengers to bond with free radicals in your blood and cells and theoretically prevent all kinds of damage to your cells. Note: It is only in the first few hours after pouring ionized water that you get these highest levels of ORP. I have literally seen spider veins disappear from my legs when I drank ionized water with the highest levels of ORP. Since I can only comfortably drink up to about a  10.5 pH, I, personally, want the level of pH I drink at to have the most ORP it can.

I can honestly say that these water ionizers are all very close! If there is an overall winner to see…

I’d say it might be the Jupiter Melody!

I am surprised at the strength of the Jupiter Melody water ionizer! The Melody is a 5-plate water ionizer competing head on amongst 7-plate &/or more expensive water ionizers and it might even have emerged as an overall winner!

The reason I’m surprised by the strong results for the Jupiter Melody water ionizer testing is that usually the Jupiter Athena’s results are better than the Melody. Also usually the Tyent Turbo and the Enagic are better than the Jupiter Melody as well. But in this series of tests, it’s not clear who the winner is, and it sure is clear that the Melody looks pretty darn good. It’s right up there, close to equal in some levels – better in others. And that’s against the traditional winners [the Athena, Tyent and Enagic]. You can’t take one set of tests as proof, but it does fit in somewhere as part of an overall picture.

These are clearly all good water ionizers, and that is probably all that these results prove.

There are other things to consider when purchasing a water ionizer, and sometimes [just like in buying a car] those extra features may be what makes or breaks the deal for you. For the features I think are the most important, I’ve listed the ionizers in order of best to worst [left to right], below. I’ve also put the features in order of how important I think they are. Keep in mind, just like in buying a car, the opinions of “best” and “most important” will naturally vary.

I have completed some more good water ionizer comparisons, which I want to share. In my last set of water ionizer comparisons I found that the IonQuench was actually testing better than the Genesis Platinum. This is significant, because the IonQuench is selling for less money and has a longer warranty period too. So that’s the reason I chose the IonQuench to compare with these other two water ionizers. [The IonQuench is an upgraded version of the KYK Genesis water ionizer].

The testing, below, shows that both the Orion and Tyent Turbo are better than the IonQuench. That’s not surprising, because the Orion and Tyent water ionizers are both more expensive than the IonQuench water ionizer.

I’ve included all the You Tube videos, below, along with the following chart. Basically the IonQuench was tested twice [once with the Orion and once with the Tyent]. Water ionizer testing contains so many variables that you can see the differences even in the results of the IonQuench the first time and the IonQuench the second time. That’s why I think it’s important to test often and in a variety of circumstances [or look at a variety of tests] before making a final judgement on which ionizer tests the best. Here is the chart, followed by the videos, for all of the water ionizer comparisons in this series.

There are a lot more things to consider when buying a water ionizer than just comparing the pH and ORP of the water ionizers. There’s quality of filtration, internal plate-cleaning, construction and sturdiness of the water ionizer, warranty, longevity of the company, certifications for good design and construction of the ionizer, BBB ratings, price, appearance and other features. Where I could, I included other comparisons in the following chart.

Which is Better? The Chanson VS 70, The Tyent 7070 or the KYK Genesis 7 Plate? And Why?

A customer came to me with a question today that was sure hard to answer! So, here’s my best stab at it.

I’ve tested the Tyent and KYK, so I know they both give really good ionized water…I’ve seen testing for the Chanson VS 70 which also looks good. These all look like great water ionizers…so which is best?

In this blog post I’ve provided information and my own analysis of the different strengths and features for each water ionizer. You will have to decide which water ionizer feature is most important to you and judge for yourself which water ionizer is best.  Based on the comparisons, below, you should be able to compare the features and strengths of these water ionizers with the features you think are most important to you — and make a decision that way. They’re all close and all HIGH QALITY, though, so I really don’t think you can go wrong with whichever one you decide. Hope this helps!

Tyent has just released a new TURBO feature that can be purchased as an upgrade for their Tyent MMP7070 water ionizer. So what is this new TURBO feature all about?

The Tyent MMP7070 regular water ionizer has 7 large plates and normally has an adjustable wattage of 110w to 240w to accomodate for the different water ionization levels selected. The new Turbo feature raises the wattage of the water ionizer to 280w. Think of the brightness of a 280 watt light bulb vs. a 240 watt.

So what are the results? How much better is the water ionizer’s pH/ORP when using the Turbo feature?

I’ve posted this water ionizer comparison video (comparing the Melody water ionizer to the Tyent water ionizer) to show you, but the bottom line is that the Turbo feature only slightly raised the pH and ORP of the water. The actual rH* (relative Hydrogen: which is the scientific analysis of the HEALTHINESS OF THE WATER based on a formula explained at the bottom) was worse. The Turbo feature, in my opinion may wear out the water ionizer prematurely also, and seems completely unnecessary. The level 3 pH and ORP of the Tyent MMP7070 were great! Why mess with a good thing? If it doesn’t get a more significant increase than this, then I say it’s not worth the extra money.

I am so happy I was able to try out this new Tyent MMP7070 Turbo water ionizer, and it’s pretty good! At level 3 I got a 10.91 pH and -802 ORP at level 3. The Turbo feature boosted the pH to 11.05 and the ORP to -812. Please note: additional testing will be done in about a week. 

The Melody did great too! I’ve put a little comparison chart below to show the difference between the Melody and Tyent. The Melody is a great, reliable water ionizer that stands up well against all the water ionizers that have 7 large plates. The Melody water ionizer also cleans itself better than the Tyent, and I think that one feature will make the largest difference to consumers in the long run.

My vote: Consider the Tyent — as it’s a good water ionizer…but also consider the Melody; they’re both great, so don’t worry too much about every little difference in pH & ORP if they’re that close – just start drinking ionized water as soon as you can and as often as you can.
