A customer came to me with a question today that was sure hard to answer! So, here’s my best stab at it.
I’ve tested the Tyent and KYK, so I know they both give really good ionized water…I’ve seen testing for the Chanson VS 70 which also looks good. These all look like great water ionizers…so which is best?
In this blog post I’ve provided information and my own analysis of the different strengths and features for each water ionizer. You will have to decide which water ionizer feature is most important to you and judge for yourself which water ionizer is best. Based on the comparisons, below, you should be able to compare the features and strengths of these water ionizers with the features you think are most important to you — and make a decision that way. They’re all close and all HIGH QALITY, though, so I really don’t think you can go wrong with whichever one you decide. Hope this helps!
Size: The Miracle and VS70 water ionizers are so small [if smaller is better to you the Miracle and VS 70 water ionizers would be the winners.]
Cleaning: ALL ABOUT EQUAL FOR CLEANING
One other thing that’s good to know with cleaning is, you can get an Ionizer Armor to go with any water ionizer to protect the inner cleanliness of your water ionizer so that helps to level the playing field with respect to self-cleaning.
KYK: Automatic cleaning system – Does “acid-wash” cycle every 30 liters of use. Warns you when it’s washing. You need to continue the water flowing throughout the complete washing cycle. Unit automatically stops water flow when wash is complete and resets it to Level 2. Automatic draining system – drains water into the electrolysis chamber to enhance cleaning.
Tyent: Automatic acid wash every 5 – 10 min. of use. Warns you when it’s ready to wash. Automatically turns ionizer off when it’s ready for acid wash. You need to push button to start the acid wash and continue the water flowing throughout the complete washing cycle.

KYK: Comes with stainless steel adaptor to hook up to faucet and connectors if direct hook up to cold water line is preferred. There is no installation DVD that comes with the KYK. Computer chips and wires located on top of each filter makes the KYK filters very much harder to install and could be a weak point in the design. I believe that eventually a KYK water ionizer might stop working if the customer replaces their own filters every year and doesn’t have the technical expertise or manual dexterity to do it right. Tyent: Comes with stainless steel adaptor to hook up to faucet [can also be hooked directly into the cold water line if desired]. People have had difficulty figuring out the technicalities of programming the Tyent to their source water, but have received excellent customer service and had their difficulties satisfied by the technical trouble-shooter at Tyent. There is a DVD for installing which is helpful — but it doesn’t come standard with every order. Make sure you request this DVD when ordering a Tyent.
Chanson: Miracle [Chanson's 7-plate countertop model] comes with stainless steel adaptor to hook up to faucet & VS 70 has its own beautiful faucet. The VS 70 will obviously be harder to install, because it’s an undersink model, however the Miracle is fairly easy. Chanson water ionizers come with installation CDs. You also get online videos you can watch ahead of time. The Chanson water ionizers get programmed to your source water hardness — so be ready with that information. You can get your water hardness level by calling the phone number on your water bill. There are videos that can guide you in installing the Chanson VS 70 and Miracle. Chanson also does offer excellent customer service to help you fine-tune your installations.
