Does Acidic Ionized Water Stay Acidic after Boiling?

Feb 19 · by Cathleen LoGrasso

A customer asked me the other day if he boiled acid water, would it become more neutral or remain acidic. I hadn’t done this test before, and I didn’t know. So, I got some acid water from my Athena water ionizer and boiled it to find out what happened. Here’s the video:

For water ionizer owners who aren’t able to watch the above video, here’s the results. The acid water started out at 3.3 pH and after boiling and cooling down enough to test it, the water tested at 3.5 pH. So almost no change was made in the water’s acidity.

On the other hand, whenever I’ve boiled alkaline water and let it cool, and tested it, I’ve seen drastic changes in the pH and ORP [like going from a 10 pH down to a 6].

Why Did I Decide to Sell Water Ionizers?

Jun 07 · by Cathleen LoGrasso

I have an online store, and I sell water ionizers. People often ask me why I decided to sell water ionizers. I’d like to share that, and maybe inspire someone else to join the cause!

I have been drinking alkaline ionized water for 16 years and I have found it to be the best nutritional-related thing I’ve ever done! Actually, nothing in the past 36 years of research and investigation into nutrition and natural healing has come close to this in simplicity and truth…in what your body needs to be healthy [in a basic nutritional sense]. When you find something that really works, it tends to simplify your life.

The massive amounts of nutritional supliments, routines, secrets, programs, etc. all take on a new perspective when you get your body’s basic needs fulfilled. You find you’re not in need of as much “suplimentation” after all.

The reason ionized water helps you nutritionally has to do with the acid/alkaline pH balance in your blood, tissues & cells. When you’re acidic (which almost everyone is in the US) your cells can’t get rid of their acid wastes & so these build up in the cells, organs & tissues. The older you are the more acidic you become. Ionized water helps re-establish the pH balance you had as a child. Actually even better.

Germs, cancers, funguses & viruses need acidity to thrive. Only the healthy cells thrive in the correct pH environment.

Alkaline ionized water is the easiest, most natural way to restore the pH your body needs for health. First of all, you need to drink water, and lots of it, daily. However, you don’t need chlorine, fluoride or any of the other chemicals that are added to your water by your city water company. So a water ionizer filters & eliminates the bad stuff from your water. But beyond that it keeps the alkaline minerals (such as calcium & magnesium) in the water coming out of the top spout (your drinking water) and gets rid of the acidic, poisonous elements (such as fluoride, chlorine, etc.) out of the bottom spout.

Ionization also puts a negative charge on the water, making it a free-radical scavenger. No substances are added to the water, and so there are no side-effects, although your body may experience detox symptoms as your cells begin to release their acids they’ve held onto all these years. But that happens slowly, and usually detox symptoms are very mild if any.

For newbies, I highly suggest my e-book [ http://www.health-e-water.com ] which further explains this and the multitudes of other great ways a water ionizer helps your water to do the job of reversing the acidity your body has accumulated in your cells, tissues and organs over the years.

Bottom line…I really want to share this great information with others!

Most people in the US are not clued in to this data. A year ago I decided to sell water ionizers and bring this information to a many people as I can. I have developed a main webstore [ http://www.alkalinewaterplus.com ] & blog [ http://www.alkalinewaterplus.info ] & an affiliate program. My affiliates earn a good commission by bringing this information to their contacts. What a great way to earn! Everyone wins!

Why are Water Ionizers so Expensive?

May 24 · by Cathleen LoGrasso

Why are water ionizers so expensive?

First of all, if you compare water ionizers to medical equipment, they’re not expensive at all. But I’ll explain how the expense breaks down. The most cost is in the platinum coated titanium plates. Platinum is right now selling for over $950.00 per ounce! Each plate in the water cell (which is the heart of the water ionizer) is coated with this expensive platinum. Water ionizers have between five and seven of these plates. The reason for using platinum is that it, of all metals, will not break down and leach into your water… even over time. So it will virtually last indefinitely, and as long as your water ionizer has a good cleaning cycle it will produce as healthy water 20 years from now as it does today. The second greatest cost for water ionizers is in the research, development and production of the water ionizer. These are very scientifically developed and intricate machines and the researchers don’t typically receive grant money for it either.
It’s so true that people will not usually question the cost of medical care, however this is after-the-fact treating something that more than likely could have been prevented. It’s high time we start investing a little into the field of prevention!!!

Finally, I wanted to add a statement made by a friend of mine yesterday, “If I would have known all I know today 7 months ago when I bought this machine, I would have been willing to pay $20,000.00 for it…or even more.” My friend attributes being alive today to the fact that she started drinking Kangen water from her Enagic machine.

Another Cool Tool for Selling on the Internet: GoDaddy!

Apr 22 · by Cathleen LoGrasso

Here’s another cool tool for selling on the internet: www.GoDaddy.com

This is the best place I’ve found for purchasing domain names and hosting your website. They’re simple to understand and communicate with at GoDaddy! If you buy a domain name, you get a great deal…not some inflated price!

Once you buy your domain name they’ll host it for free on their site if you don’t care if others advertize on your page. But if you want no ads, they’ll host it for the cheapest price I’ve found…and I searched! Another thing is they have great tutorials that take you through the process of getting your site up and running.

And most importantly, they’ll answer the phone when you call and give you great service to help you get started. Even if you ask dumb questions, they’ll continue to support you all the way through the learning process.

So, yea GoDaddy, keep up the good work!

This is a 2-part series of videos demonstrating the stages of uploading to You Tube, then editing them on You Tube, and finally embedding the You Tube video into the i360 Blogging program.

I videoed my last blog entry for selling on internet, and am now posting that video on my blog. While I’m posting the video, I’m videoing that process. It’s really not hard to post a video to You Tube. I’ve posted many water ionizer videos so far and each time it gets easier. It’s a little time consuming in that the upload process takes about 5 or so minutes for every 1 minute of video, so a 10 minute video (which is the maximum that You Tube will allow) will take over 50 minutes to upload on their site. While you’re waiting for the upload process to finish you can fill in the title, description, category and tags (keywords) that go with your video. And of course you can go do something else, for instance write your blog post and get yourself some refreshments, like sparkling, fresh, alkaline ionized water!

Once the upload is finished it’s now time to posh it up. One thing I do is go to the “annotations” section and add word-bubbles with my website links, such as http://www.alkalinewaterplus.com goes into a word bubble. Then I go to view the video and while doing that I make sure that it looks okay. While doing that I copy the code for embedding and post it into my already written blog. I push “Publish” and that’s all there it to it. The Blog i360 program does the rest, which is a whole lot. It creates a hyperlink with each tag that I added, and the hyperlinks link to different posts from my blog. This makes it “search engine optimized” along with many other things which go on behind the seems.

Next time we’ll cover: How to Upload Your Videos to You Tube and how to embed them into your blogi360.

PS The new Venus water ionizer is making its debut this week! It’s a honey! I’ll do several postings on it when it arrives.

These 2 videos are intros to blogging, the Blog i360 program, keyword searches, and selling on the internet in general.

Starting with the basics, if I want to write a blog post about water ionizers, or water ionization, or alkaline water, I would start out with a basic keyword search. That means I would try to think of the terms my potential customers would use and then go to the free keyword search tool and see how that term checks out [how many of my water ionizer customers search for that expression in the course of a month]. Here are some great free tools that I found after about 20 minutes of checking:

https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com

http://www.keyworddiscovery.com/search.html

Using my Blog i360 program, I can simply concentrate on my topic, choosing my keywords [water ionizers, alkaline water ionization, or product names, such as Jupiter Melody water ionizer, Venus water ionizer, etc.] and main idea for that post, writing, and then pushing the “publish button”. The Blog i360 program does all the “search engine optimization” work, such as linking my posts to other similar posts in my blog, adding a “tag cloud”, sending my post through an automatic submission process to several news-feed sites, and much more. I am clueless as to how they do it, but within minutes after pushing the publish button, my blog will be on page one of Google for several of my keywords—every time! It’s a wonder of wonders!

ps…I suggest the Melody water ionizer or the Venus water ionizer if you’re interested in buying a water ionizer. [I'm multi-tasking]

Are Water Ionizers a Hoax?

Apr 07 · by Cathleen LoGrasso

Are Water Ionizers a Hoax? Not a chance. Scientists and doctors have known about the need for alkaline diets for 80 years, and about anti-oxidants for 60 years. And, the need for filtering water is so simple to understand a 2-year-old could grasp that. I have a real beef with Stephen Lower, who says everyone and everything is Quackery. He even says vitamin C and E are hoaxes and unproven. He attacks doctors who think outside the box and do innovative research, like Dr. Robert Young (pH Miracle Living) and Theodore Baroody (Alkalize or Die). He says there’s no research done in the “real” medical community that supports the need for alkaline water. Here’s a link to a scientific book, dated in 1918, called Uric Acid as a Factor in the Causation of Disease, which shows back then the medical community’s awareness of acidic pH as a factor in causing disease. He criticizes and laughs at people who use their own good sense and judgement to learn about natural healing on their own. I call him the snake-oil-man. He’s a snickery, lofty, patronizing, pompous, authoritarian fool. Authoritarianism is how our society’s health-care knowledge has managed to be so stifled all these years. The references he gives you to “prove his points” don’t prove anything. They’re pompous and non-understandable just like he is. If he proves anything he proves that people who talk fast and hard and esoterically can fool people into thinking they know what they’re talking about. Don’t let yourself be seduced by this guy’s seeming intelligence. He sets himself up as an authority for everything to do with health and healing. Has he tried any of what he criticizes? I doubt it. My personal experience drinking alkaline ionized water for 16 years provides me with the true knowledge of experience that allows me to see through his ignorant rantings. I’ve had so many great experiences with drinking ionized water, I’m at a point of just knowing. Nothing can shake that. But to offer the further proof that some may desire. I’ve listed some of the research from my website here in brief form:

Water Ionizer Fact #1:  Akashi Hospital in Japan (Dr Shinkai) thousands of patients with painful atopic dermatitis have been treated and cured with ionized water. The patients drank the alkaline ionized water to cure their condition from the inside, while they applied the strong acidic (pH 2.8) to their rashes several times per day. The amount of time needed to cure the condition varied from patient to patient, but the condition cleared in over 80% of the cases in just 4 months.

Water Ionizer Fact #2:  On a breeding farm in Japan, chicks are raised for one month. An experiment was done where the chickens were separated into two groups, each group having twenty thousand chicks. One group was only given alkali reducing water made by adding magnesium to the water. The other group was given regular ground water (as was usual for this farm). The chickens were all fed the same. The only difference was the drinking water. The ground-water group lost 1,100, which died of disease. That’s 94.5% survival rate. The alkali reducing-water-group had a 99.3% survival rate and only lost a total of 140 chickens out of 20,000. Another test was conducted where one hundred chickens from each group were randomly picked and weighed. The average weight of the chickens from the reducing-water-group was 1720 g, while the weight of the ground-water group was only 1590 g.

Water Ionizer Fact # 3: An experiment was done on a group of mice that were genetically prone to fatness and so tended to develop diabetes. These mice were divided into two groups of 8 in each group. One group was made to drink alkali reducing water made using minerals. The alkali reducing water had the effect of restraining about 34% of blood-sugar level. The alkali reducing water also restrained the development of unhealthy LDL cholesterol in these mice.

Water Ionizer Fact #4: An experiment was done to test the alkali reducing water’s anti-cancer effect. A melanoma (malignant skin cancer cell) was injected into the abdominal cavity of the experimental mice. These mice were then separated into two groups. One group drank regular tap water, and the other alkali reducing water. The feed was the same. After 15 days, the tumor size of the mouse drinking alkali reducing water was half the size of the mouse given regular tap water. Also the amount of active oxygen (free radicals) found in the various organs of these mice was far less in the alkali-reducing-water group.

Water Ionizer Fact #5: Dr Shinya Hiromi, MD, developer of a technique of colonoscopy in order to see the insides of the rectum and colon and author of The Enzyme Factor has examined hundreds of thousands of colons and has noted that there appears to be a link between unhealthy colons and lifestyle related diseases such as cancer, diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure, heart disease, and constipation. Dr. Shinya’s diet includes drinking a minimum of 3 quarts of alkaline ionized (Kangen) water every day. Before and after colon examinations were video-taped and all showed marked improvements in the colon.

Water Ionizer Fact #6: The electrodes for use in the water ionizer must be of a certain quality to ensure proper water ionization. They require platinum coating. Platinum, at about $950.00 per ounce is coating 5-7 electrode plates. So, no…the water ionizers are not over-priced. If anything, they’re under-priced. Right now I’m selling the brand new Jupiter Venus water ionizer for only 1,075, and it will produce water at about the quality of the Enagic and Melody! That’s called progress, not quackery.

How To Sell Products on the Internet

Apr 07 · by Cathleen LoGrasso

I’ve been selling water ionizers on the internet now for about a year, and I’ve learned a great deal in the process about how to sell products, in general, on the internet. So I decided to devote a section of my blog to this subject. Do I have an agenda? Yes, I’ll be completely upfront with you about my agenda. The blog format I use in this blog is an MLM blogging program/webstore connection…very high-tech, very state-of-the-art, and most important: with every post I see my blog appear on the first or second page of my specified keywords for that blog-post. Now, what does that mean for my business? It means everything…really; it’s all about SAVING MONEY! It’s the only way, short of spending hundreds of dollars every month on pay-per-click, that I can get my products even remotely on the first page of Google. Over time, I’ll reveal how this BLOGi360 has helped me sell my water ionizers. I’ll also give you tips in using the Blog i360 program that even the Blogi360 people don’t tell you. Also, anyone can just call me or email me: support@alkaline-water-plus.info with questions about using this program too, anytime. So I’m a resource, use me. Stay tuned to this section of my blog if you’re interested.

Cheers For Blogi360!

There are several videos on You Tube with Rob Gray concluding that Tyent is the best water ionizer. Rob doesn’t list his web-store, and maybe he doesn’t have any affiliation. Rob tests several water ionizers and concludes that Tyent is the best in each of his several videos. The Tyent is a good water ionizer, but not better than the Athena, Melody or Life water ionizers. I’d say, it’s about the same, because it produces about an equal rH (relative Hydrogen, see below).  These are all great water ionizers!

I always appreciate knowing who I’m talking to, though, and what their stake is in it (if they’re proclaiming themselves to be objective they still have a reason they’re producing this video). Rob appears objective, but I wish he would tell us who he is (i.e. which water ionizers he sells and what the name of his webstore is).

In this video, Rob is obviously trying to show the Tyent as the winner, when in fact all three water ionizers in this video are winners. And, if you look at the rH (relative Hydrogen: the actual health value of the water [omitting the effect that jacking up the pH has on your test results), you see how close all the water ionizers in this test group came to each other. When compared with regular tap water as ranging between 32 and 38, the ionized water at a level of 21 rH is very good. Here’s the results:

Rob Gray’s Tests:

Water Ionizers

   pH *

ORP *

Tyent MMP7070

Life 7500

rH is measured on a scale of 1 to 42 with 1 being the best, 28 being neutral, and 42 the worst.

The New Life7600 Water Ionizer Looks Pretty Darn Good!

Mar 29 · by Cathleen LoGrasso

Life Ionizers has come up with a new Life7600 Water Ionizer! I say “well done” to the Life company for this new model! It seems to have some great new features and continues to have some great old features! It is an upgrade from the Life 7500 model, but without an increase in price (so far). But let’s keep fingers crossed! This model compares itself to the Enagic, but at half the cost. Let’s look at the new features and options:

  • Brand New Vitamin C Ceramic filter technology: The new Life 7600 Water Ionizer comes with this new filter, which allows the benefits of vitamin C while at the same time effectively eliminating chlorine and chloramine. However this new filter is now integrated into the Life 7500 water ionizer models. So you get these new filters no matter which model you order and as replacement filters if you already have a Life 7500 water ionizer. Both models have dual filter systems with nine stages of filtration and come with a free pre-filter (sediment Carbon Block, unless otherwise requested) which extends the life of your filter (and water ionizer). [The Enagic has an ordinary single Carbon filter, and no extra pre-filter -- nothing special over the cheap $1,000 models].
  • Convertable [Can install under sink or on countertop]: With a conversion kit, you can install this under the sink if you like! [The Life 7500 was only a countertop model, and the Enagic is only a countertop as well.]
  • Adjustable Amperage:
    • The Life 7600 has 5 amperage/wattage (33 watts-208 watts) settings to allow for perfect ionization (They claim to now be able to get the highest pH & ORP) despite varying water hardness, quality, flow-rate and plate size.
    • The Life 7500 has 4 amperage/wattage setting
    • The Enagic has no adjustable wattage.
  • Water Ionization Plates:
    • Life 7600:  Comes with 7 platinum coated titanium large plates (same as Enagic), but has an option to switch to mesh plates for an extra charge of $100.00. They recommend you use mesh plates in order to get a better ionization (more efficient & higher ratings). They say the mesh is better according to their tests.
    • Life 7500 had these options too.
    • Enagic only has the solid plate option.
  • Both Life water ionizer models offer an optional UV Light for an extra layer of disinfection protection ($150.00 extra charge). Enagic does not offer a UV Light option.
  • Built in pH indicator:
    • The Life 7600 water ionizer has a built in pH indicator. This is helpful (if it’s accurate)!
    • The Life 7500 doesn’t have this feature.
    • The Enagic claims to produce water at certain pH settings, but these are misleading. The water I tested was far off what the Enagic water ionizer “voice indicator” claimed.

Here’s my conclusions:

The Life company has been working hard to beat out the competition. I think the result is pretty darn good, as indicated above. It looks like they very well may have come up with the best water ionizer, but I will watch for independent labs’ comparisons or other unbiased testing to be done before I make any further, more definitive, conclusions.

Cathleen LoGrasso
