We are going to do a before and after water ionizer comparison with the Athena Water Ionizer before and after using the Spartan Ionizer Shield.

We just got a new TDS (total dissolved solids) meter, and we are very interested in finding out what the Spartan Water Ionizer Shield will do to the TDS measurement as well as the pH and ORP of the water ionizer. It would seem logical that the TDS would decrease with the use of the Spartan Water Ionizer Shield, but we will see what happens.

We are testing the water ionizer in St Louis, and as a note, the water is not particularly hard here, and our water ionizer works very well without any prefiltration. But, I wanted to see what the Spartan Ionizer Shield would do to it. My hypothesis was that it would possibly make it easier for the water ionizer to do it’s job and increase the ORP.

What is the Spartan Ionizer Shield?

The Spartan Ionizer Shield consists of three prefilters.  It is used in cases of very hard water to protect the water ionizer from scaling and improve the taste and quality of the ionized water.

• Filter Number One:  This filter conditions the pre-ionized water by changing the scaling calcium into a non-scaling form which helps protect your water ionizer and also optimizes the pH into a range that is more effective in removing fluoride.  This stage also removes iron, hydrogen sulfide, manganese, chorine, chloramines, fluoride, lead, arsenic, and selenium.
• Filter Number Two:  This stage removes lead, mercury, nickel and other heavy metals as well as chlorine and chloramines.  It also prevents scaling in hard water areas.  This filter also improves the taste and clarity of your ionized water.  The final stage in this filter reduces water tension and makes the water ideal for ionization.
• Filter Number Three:  This filter reduces the harmful effects of hard water scale on the water ionizer and also improves the taste, odor, and water clarity and offers added protection from chlorine/chloramines, VOC’s, and disinfectant byproducts in the ioinzed water.

Summary of Results

TDS

It looks like the TDS was not dramatically changed one way or the other in the ionized water.

It seems like the higher the pH of the alkaline ionized water, the higher the TDS reading. This makes sense to me because the concentrate of alkaline minerals increases as the pH increases in the ionized water.

pH

The Athena water ionizer seemed to have trouble getting a wide range in pH before the Spartan ionizer shield was put in. After, the ionizer shield was put in, there was a wider range in pH. It allows you to get a lower acid water which is very useful in many different circumstances.

ORP

The ORP seems to be slightly higher at the lower pHs and lower at the higher pHs in the ionized water. It’s hard to tell from just one test, but the ORP overall looked better without the Spartan ionizer shield.

Conclusion

The Spartan water ionizer shield is not effective in improving the ionization in St Louis.  However, in very hard water areas, such as the Las Vegas area, it would improve the quality of the water and also prevent scaling.  I have had several customers in this area give very positive feedback on the results of the Spartan water ionizer shield.

The Athena water ionizer and the Tyent Turbo water ionizer are both very high quality alkaline water ionizers.  I have tested these two great water ionizers against each other many, many times. Just this past week I did some more extensive water ionizer comparison testing, and you can see the videos and brief summary of each water ionizer’s performance verses the other below.  When it comes to choosing the best water ionizer for you and your family, who best to do the looking and deciding than YOU?

In any case, both of these water ionizers are far superior in performance than many other water ionizers on the market.  I say this based on personal tests and evaluations of water ionizers for many years.

Here are some of the general features of each water ionizer:

Tyent Water Ionizer vs. Athena Water Ionizer

Tyent Water Ionizers:

7070T Water Ionizer – The 7070 Turbo is the water ionizer we are testing in the video, below.  It is a 7 plate water ionizer.

9090T Water Ionizer – The 9090 Tyent Turbo water ionizer is the next step up from the 7070T water ionizer.  The main difference is that it is a 9 plate water ionizer.  It will get slightly better readings because of that. 9000T Water Ionizer – This is the under-sink version of the 9090T.  It will get very similar results as the 9090T.

Jupiter Water Ionizers:

Athena Water Ionizer – The Athena Water Ionizer is the top of the line water ionizer at the Jupiter company.  It has continuous cleaning (it cleans continuously, behind the scenes, with no wait time).  It also has mesh plates so it allows for more thoroughly ionized water (hence the great ORP ratings.) The Delphi water ionizer is essentially the same machine as the Athena water ionizer, save one filter port, but it is the under-sink version.

Melody/Isis Water Ionizer – The Melody/Isis water ionizer is the next step down from the Athena.  The cleaning system is very good, but it’s not continuous.  It reverses polarity [cleaning the plates thoroughly] with every use though, and this is done behind the scenes…so there is no wait time for the consumer.  It also gets pretty good ORP readings.  They aren’t as good as the Athena [because the plates are solid], but the pH and ORP are pretty impressive with the Melody/Isis water ionizer. Venus Water Ionizer – This is the next step down.  It is a good machine and will get the range of pH.  However, the ORP readings are not as great as the Melody or Athena.

Below, I have included several videos and charts comparing the Athena Water Ionizer versus the Tyent 7070T Water Ionizer.  In all videos, I use a moderate flow rate for both water ionizers, between 1.5 and 2 liters per minute.  I try to eliminate the flow rate variable and keep both water ionizers at the same flow rate.

In this video, I slowed down the flow rate for both water ionizers.  I also assured that the flow rate for both the Athena Water Ionizer and the Tyent Water Ionizer were the same before starting the testing.

Conclusion

The Athena Water Ionizer gets a really great ORP at all pH levels, even the lower level alkaline pHs!  The Tyent Water Ionizer doesn’t start to get good ORP until level three. The Tyent water ionizer gets a lower acid pH [2.3 vs. the Athena's 2.6 in St. Louis water]. The lower the acid water, the better the acidic water is for use as a germicidal cleaner [killing germs], although any pH lower than 4 will kill germs.

rH

There is another method to evaluate these test results.  We could measure the rH (relative hydrogen).  The formula is:

(ORP + 200)/30 + (2 x pH)

The closer the number is to zero the better.  The scale goes from 0 to 48.  If it is below 28 it is antioxidizing and if it is above 28 it is oxidizing.  The Athena water ionizer beats the Tyent water ionizer on this, but the Tyent water ionizer is still exceptional.

Live Blood Cell Analysis

Your blood is a very direct indicator of how healthy you are.  Live blood cell analysis is a very scientific way to show how healthy or unhealthy you are and/or also predict your future health.

Healthy Blood

Healthy blood will be round and uniform in size and shape.  It will be floating freely and not be “sticking” to other blood cells. Alkaline ionized water will help you get your body to a state where it’s blood is healthy.   Here is a picture of healthy blood.

Unhealthy Blood

Blood that has any irregularities tends to indicate diseases or disorders.  This also indicates that it is in an acidic environment.   Your diet can cause this, as well as the air you breath and a stressful lifestyle, among other things.

Unhealthy blood indicates that there is something wrong with your body’s pH, and/or your body’s various systems [e.g., immune system, digestive system, etc]. You can catch things that could later cause problems with live blood analysis because it is so basic.

A change in diet and adding healthy alkaline ionized water will help your body be able to function properly.

In these videos, Jason Fowler, a nutritional microscopist, examines Lisa Ramirez’ blood samples before and after drinking alkaline ionized water.  The results are pretty amazing. Lisa’s blood looks better only 25 minutes after drinking ionized water.

Yeast and Fungus were in Lisa’s Blood: Yeast and Fungus are both indicative of disease and an acidic body environment.  The presence of yeast and/or fungus would also indicate that the blood is not able to get rid of waste very easily.  Alkaline ionized water allows the body to rid itself of these toxins safely, and will let the blood have the slight alkaline pH that it likes.

Different sized and shaped blood cells: This indicates that the body is having trouble digesting and getting the nutrients to the blood cells.  This is also helped by alkaline ionized water. Lisa’s Blood had Some Rouleaux: Rouleaux is a blood condition in which the blood links together in chains.  Alkaline ionized water gives the blood a negative charge and so the cells then repel each other and can exist in their own space.

Lisa’s Blood had some Erythrocyte Aggregation: Erythrocyte Aggregation is a condition in which the blood sticks together, but on all sides.  In both this condition and rouleaux, the blood would have trouble going through small capillaries.  Again, alkaline ionized water will reduce the amount of aggregation and allow your cells to move freely through your veins.

Lisa had some Ghost/Shadow Cells: Ghost/Shadow cells are cells that are very faint.  The reason for this is because the outer layer of the blood cell is made up of 97% fat.  So, if your body has trouble digesting fats or you don’t have a lot of good fats in your diet, you will have a hard time making healthy blood cells.  Alkaline ionized water helps in allowing your body to reach a balance in which your organs can function correctly and with little stress on the body.

Jason Fowler also mentions that every cell has electricity, or an electric charge.  Being sick or diseased will take this energy away from the cells and their normal function.  Drinking alkaline ionized water gives your cells energy because it is highly charged (negative ORP).  This not only allows for your body to repair itself from sickness etc, but also allows the cells to have enough energy to pick up nutrients and drop them off, amongst many other functions.
